What We Do
Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development. Encouraging young people to do more, learn more, and be more.
Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team, and taking on new challenges.
Scouting helps young people to grow their teamwork and leadership skills, self-confidence and resilience. Empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. Scouting also helps young people develop useful practical skills such as cooking and potentially life saving first aid.
Everyone’s welcome. There’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for all.
Every week we give almost half a million 6-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams.
#SkillsforLife
At 6th Rugby we have a Beaver Colony, Cub Pack, and Scout Troop, supported by our team of Young Leaders and Leaders. Making up a Scout Community of over 50. We're part of Rugby District, Warwickshire County, and the UK Scouting Community of over 600,000 young people and adults. We're part of a World Community of over 50 million Scouts.
